Current Favorite Fashion Trend? Rompers!

Romper

I have to admit, at first, I didn’t want anything to do with rompers.  They looked uncomfortable, difficult to take off, and definitely not flattering, plus they reminded me of some horrible outfits from my childhood.  But then a friend of mine bought one for me as a gift, and to say I instantly fell in love with it would be a lie.  It took me months before I finally wore it.  I wasn’t sure how to pair it with shoes or jewelry and so I continued to pass right by it in my closet.  Finally, one day, I said “what the heck,” let’s try this ‘ole thing on.  And from that day on, my friendship with rompers grew.  Now, let’s be honest, not all rompers are created equal.  Some are ill-fitting, lacking style, and plain ugly.  While others, when made correctly, enhance one’s curves and are quite figure flattering.  I am a big fan of long sleeved rompers as they can be both sexy yet classy.  I also look for one’s that are not cut too short as those are uncomfortable seeing as they tend to ride too high and become lost in no man’s land.  Plus, I don’t think it’s very sexy when the shorts are so short you start to see the underside of one’s butt.  And, if you’re going to be wearing heels, you want to be somewhat classy with your outfit of choice.  So, I say, try on a few rompers, see what style fits you best, and learn which cuts flatter your figure the most. Buy a couple, pair them with heels or flats, and some jewelry, and see if they work for you.  You never know, they may become your favorite fashion trend as well.  So where exactly should you purchase these little numbers? I am a firm believer that when made properly, you can buy anything from both high end stores as well as places like Target.  Just a little insight: when purchasing your outfit, make sure the material is of good quality and that the seams align properly.  I have tons of rompers for the beach (from Target) and tons for going out.  I am a fan favorite of Marciano but also realize that the price tag can be a bit high.  So I also enjoy purchasing these amazing one pieces from Macy’s as well as places like Marshall’s and TJ Maxx.  Seeing as though this trend isn’t going away anytime soon, I recommend you trying them on for yourself and seeing what your thoughts are.  I’d love to hear your opinion on this and look forward to your comments!
