Summer Fashion Obsession: Ripped Jeans

Summer is right around the corner, and while everyone is getting ready to wear shorts and tank tops, I’m setting my eyes on something else: ripped jeans.  This growing trend allows you to incorporate something fun and different to the usual uniform employed during the warm days of summer.  With many colors to choose from, many variations of “rips” to pick from, and many lengths to work with, this pant can easily be dressed up, or down for your evening outings and can help you stand out from the crowd.  Whether you are embarking on a girls night out, heading out to a casual dinner with your significant other, or spending a day at the mall, you can comfortably throw on your favorite pair of jeans, add some accessories, and confidently rock your outfit.

Feel free to try on jeans in a bright color and perhaps with more “modest” rips.  Roll up the bottoms and throw on some sexy heels to take your outfit up a notch.  With the right earrings, bracelets, and necklace your jeans become a statement and you are now able to rock your curves without showing them off in shorts.  Summer colors are in full bloom and you can have your pick from varying shades of red, blue, green – you name it.  Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone.  If you are hesitant to try on certain colors, then perhaps go for something subtle, like a deep blue or a hunter green and then pair it with a solid colored top to tie everything in.

If colored jeans aren’t your forte then opt for a classy black pair and top it with a vibrant tank top to add a little pizazz.  High wedges with a peep toe add flair to your outfit and allows for a touch of sexiness to an otherwise subtle ensemble.  Bangles and hoop earrings keep the look young and fun which is what summer is all about.  Wear your hair up or down to complete the look.

If you aren’t sure where to purchase these jeans, worry not as most retailers are currently selling them.  Marciano, Bebe, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Dillards, Express all carry these styles and more.  So, go out there and try some on, rock a colored pair, strut your stuff in a “shredded” pair and have some fun!
